What is Afterpay?

Afterpay is a buy-now-pay-later service offered at checkout that allows eligible customers to pay for an order over time. With Afterpay's Pay-in-4 plan, you pay for your purchase in four equal installments, made every 2 weeks, with no interest charged when you pay on time. Other Afterpay payment options may have different terms; review the terms shown to you in your Afterpay account before completing the order.

How do I use Afterpay?

Just shop BeautyCareChoices.com and check out as usual. At checkout, choose Afterpay as your payment method. You will be directed to the Afterpay website to register and provide payment details (Visa or Mastercard). If you have used Afterpay before, just log in to your Afterpay account. Then complete your order — it's that easy.

Please note: all items in your shopping cart must be eligible for Afterpay, and the cart value must be at least $59 USD.

What information does Beauty Care Choices share with Afterpay?

When you select Afterpay at checkout, we share order details with Afterpay so that Afterpay can offer financing and process your payment. The information shared typically includes your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, and details about the items in your order (such as product names, prices, and totals). Afterpay also collects information directly from you when you create or sign in to your Afterpay account, including identity, payment-method, and credit-related information that Afterpay uses to make its approval decision.

Are there extra fees when I use Afterpay?

Pay-in-4 is interest-free. You pay nothing extra when you make each payment on time according to your payment schedule. The only fees Afterpay charges on Pay-in-4 are late fees for missed payments. Other Afterpay payment options may carry interest or different fees, which Afterpay discloses to you in your Afterpay account before you accept the plan.

Is there a limit to how much I can spend on a single transaction using Afterpay?

Yes. Your cart value must be at least $59 USD and up to a transaction cap that Afterpay sets and may change from time to time (currently up to approximately $1,000 USD on Pay-in-4). Your first order may have a lower maximum. You will receive an instant approval decision from Afterpay at checkout. Afterpay and Beauty Care Choices are committed to responsible spending, and not all orders will be approved.

When will my items be delivered if I use Afterpay?

Afterpay orders are delivered within our standard shipping time frames like any other order. Please review our Shipping Policy.

Can I edit or modify my order after placing it?

Once Afterpay has approved an order, the order details cannot be modified and items cannot be added. We encourage customers to place a new, separate order if you would like to add additional items.

Can I move or change payment due dates for an order?

To request an adjusted payment schedule, contact Afterpay's customer-service team and Afterpay will review your account to determine eligibility. Not all requests can be accommodated. Afterpay's policies and contact options may change; the most current information is available at afterpay.com.

What happens if I have a partial refund, and how does that affect my payments?

Afterpay will be notified once your refund is processed. Your payment plan will be automatically adjusted to reflect the new order value, starting with the last payment and working backward. Note that the length of payments will not extend beyond six weeks after the purchase date. If the refund amount is larger than 25% of the total order, Afterpay will typically eliminate the fourth installment payment and apply the remaining amount to your third payment. How do I return or exchange an item purchased using Afterpay?

Afterpay returns follow our standard return process, which is described in our Return Policy. Afterpay will be notified of your return and will process the appropriate refunds. We cannot provide a direct exchange or a cash refund. If you have more questions about your Afterpay account or installment schedule, visit help.afterpay.com.

How many purchases can be made using Afterpay?

First-time shoppers with Afterpay are typically limited to one order in the first 24 hours. Afterpay may decline additional orders during that window. Other limits may apply based on your Afterpay account history.

Is there a minimum age requirement for using Afterpay?

Afterpay is only offered to customers over the age of 18.

What factors go into determining if your order is approved with Afterpay?

Beauty Care Choices does not control whether Afterpay approves an order. Afterpay's approval process generally considers, among other factors: whether sufficient funds are available on your card (at least 25% of the order value), the length of time you have been using Afterpay, the amount you still owe Afterpay, and the value of the order. Afterpay's criteria may change from time to time.

What do I do if I am not approved to use Afterpay?

You can still pay using any major credit card or PayPal.

How does the payment schedule work?

For Pay-in-4, you make the first payment at the time of purchase. The remaining three payments are drawn from your selected payment method every 2 weeks in equal installments. If you would like to make additional unscheduled payments before they are due, you may log in to Afterpay to make payments early.

You can sign in to your Afterpay account at any time to view your payment schedule or make a payment before the next due date.

Will I be notified when a payment is due?

Afterpay sends payment reminders via SMS and email before payments become due. You can also view your orders and payment schedules at afterpay.com or in the Afterpay app.

Can I pay early?

Yes. You can make payments any time before your due date. Sign in to your Afterpay account, select the installment you would like to pay early, and submit the payment.

What if I can’t pay an Afterpay installment?

If you do not make a payment when due, or if funds are unavailable, Afterpay may charge a late payment fee. As of the most recent information available to us, the late-payment fee is approximately $8 USD per missed payment, with an additional $8 USD if the missed payment is not made within 7 days, and total late fees on an order are capped at 25% of the order value. What consumer protections apply when I use Afterpay?

Your payments to Afterpay are made under your Afterpay installment agreement and are separate from your purchase from Beauty Care Choices. If you have a dispute about the goods you received from us — for example, missing items, damage on arrival, or a return — please contact Beauty Care Choices Customer Service first so we can resolve it under our Shipping Policy and Return Policy. We will notify Afterpay of any refund we issue.

If you have a billing or payment dispute with Afterpay itself, or believe Afterpay has not honored its installment agreement, contact Afterpay's customer-service team. Many states and Canadian provinces also provide consumer-protection rights for buy-now-pay-later transactions; nothing on this page limits those rights.
